What are InfantProbio® drops?
The types of natural bacteria that reside in an infant’s or child’s intestines are very different from the types found in adulthood. Having an imbalance of good and bad bacteria in the gut is thought, by some to lead to digestion and immunity concerns in both infants and children, in particular: formula-fed babies, on antibiotics, experiencing regular colds and flu, and babies & children with digestive problems such as colic, diarrhoea, constipation and lactose intolerance, as well as those with allergies and skin irritations. For the baby, gut health is the first line of defence in terms of immunity. Without a well-functioning GI tract, he/she can’t get the proper nourishment to grow, or to defend against pathogens. HealthAid InfantProbio Drops plays a vital role in improving intestinal problems and immune response. Its unique formulation contains a special viable strain of Lactobacillus Reuteri; which provides 200 million (per dose) colony-forming unit (CFU) of Lactobacillus Reuteri strain, NCIMB 30351 isolated from breast milk.
Lactobacillus reuteri has been known to produce a broad spectrum anti-Microbial Reuterin, which help Modulate immune responses via the gut’s mucosal immune system, aiding in the production of antibodies and keeping pathogens under control. It acts as an anti-inflammatory, reducing C-reactive protein (CRP) levels and proinflammatory cytokines. Prevent allergies by training baby’s immune system to distinguish between pathogens and non-harmful antigens and respond appropriately. Helps to digest and absorb certain carbohydrates (starches, fibre and sugars). Lactobacillus Reuteri strain is also believed to help enhance the mucosal barrier and promote microbial diversity in the gut. Colic has been a puzzling idiopathic condition for centuries, and babies endure the condition for weeks to months of their early lives. Lactobacillus reuteri is a much studied probiotic shown to help and prevent the digestive discomfort associated with COLIC in new born infants, it’s shown to have greater efficacy than simethicone, which for years has been the traditional therapy for colic.

Recommended Daily Intake of InfantProbio:
Infants and children up to 3 years of age: Give 5 drops, once a day. Adults, Adolescents and Children 4 years or older: Take orally 5 drops, one to three times per day, or as directed by a healthcare professional. Do not allow the dropper to come in contact with any liquid, including saliva. If antibiotics are being taken, take at least 2-3 hours before or after antibiotics. Do not exceed recommended daily intake unless advised by a suitably qualified person.

Caution: If your child has fever, vomiting, bloody diarrhoea or severe abdominal pain, consult a practitioner prior to use. Do not use if you have an immune compromised condition (e.g. AIDS, lymphoma, corticosteroids treatment..). Discontinue use and consult a health care practitioner if symptoms of digestive upset (e.g: diarrhoea) occur, worsen or persist beyond 3 days.
